The World Needs Journalists Not Propagandists

When Did the News Become Unimportant to News People?

Great article about true journalistic responsibility from Nieman Watchdog, Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University.

How long will America's press be Bush's propagandist lapdogs?

I know that it's infuriating that you have so many "News" channels with so little of it! There is more going on out there that needs told. Things that are much more important than any celebrity "news".
The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are for fun but they are sometimes more credible than the stuff that is supposed to be serious.
I guess as long as they can keep us looking the other way, they are accomplishing their goal!

po, hi!
             ~~~its me, again. the net avoids
dullesville era "big 3' mainstream media. sometimes
 the journalist and the artist morph into a michael moore
rock era mindframe that seeks internal truths. saw this
link on UC, and upon watching it for about 15 minutes
 admittedly inside a lesser google streaming resolution,
i thought you might be interested in the guy's take
 on the system, for good or for ill. he ran into copywrite
 problems, when he interacts his own ideas with the media
mainstream. youtube and google are like the songswapping napsters
of a few months back. royalties suffer anyway. mainstream
can cheat a great mind or meta-demiurge and the frustration
ofa logjamming distribution system has people reaching out...so
there we are... here we are... a link http://www.thisisthriller.com/
he's either real or usrreal or both... BUT HE TRIES FOR A STREAM
OF CONCIOUSNESS + MESSAGES SUBLIMINAL... [all again, advertizing lore?]
i'm half holding myself back, and am almost boshevik in avoiding
all the latent fascism, if even the dude's own... for he hath fixations.
the clip from IMAGINE showing poor john lennon again is the "WHY"
of the title... the dude tries to make observations and statements
and clearly LUVs jumpcuts and an obvious soundtrack inelegance...
i am a trekie/trekker hippie person... and my music tastes can range back
in tyme to the ink spots, roy orbison and buddy holly...if not the weavers!
again, if you trust the downloading to go smooth, both DISQUEs are
worth either looksie, or a contemplation of the same, and all
MAY be subliminally loaded, or its just him, an amature 'indie' filmmaker...
again, po!
its worth a brief glance...sorta...
for like michael moore, the dude
is not really mainstream and being a
total plastic hippie sellout...
