MKULTRA vs The Free Press
The CIA and Nazi Fascism
The mainstream media no doubt has always had their hands full when it comes to telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. This became apparent for the first time, perhaps, at the same time that the Church Committee was looking into MKULTRA mind control in 1975. What was revealed in the government documents pertinent to the investigations is that the CIA operated a propaganda wing that sought to establish covert powers over the freedom of the press.
Operation Mockingbird, as it would later become known, though it was too illegal to have even had an official name, apparently began in 1948 and was very successful by 1950, virtually "owning" various members of the mainstream news media. Though all of that was supposed to be banned along with MKULTRA mind control, it continues still today.
A few weeks ago I ran into a video online that was from a news report on the fateful day of 9/11. The CNN reporter was standing in front of the Pentagon and was informing the audience live that no plane had hit the Pentagon. He repeated himself over and over, while explaining that there was no fuselage, no wings, and that the remaining pieces of whatever had hit the Pentagon were small enough to hold in your hands. He was emphatic that no plane had hit the Pentagon. I had thought to include the link to the video here, but as often happens with some of the best information on the web, the website could no longer be found after nearly two weeks of my own computer problems.
Despite the video report, I've watched CNN staff swear that it was in fact a plane that hit the Pentagon. No instant replays, mind you, least of all of that particular video, but it is hard to believe that they could ever make such a statement after seeing the video. Unless they really, really had to make such a statement.
I'm tempted also to think that the original name for what later became known as "Operation Mockingbird" might have been "Operation Mogul" as in media mogul, a name which often comes up with research into the Roswell UFO incident.
One can imagine the implications from there on, which would be far too vast to cover here, but I think it's safe to say that, just like MKULTRA, "Operation Mockingbird" didn't get up and fly away just because Congress said that it should, rather it became an even darker project.
