Communism Versus MKULTRA and Nazism

Communism Versus MKULTRA and Nazism

It's helpful sometimes to recall from history the nature of some things, such as the communist opposition to Nazism. In W.W.II our ally, Russia, took more losses than anyone else, and gave us a pivotal turn in the war. Thousands of captured Russian troops ended up in Nazi slave labor camps and were worked to death. Russia had made the great sacrifice of their scorched earth strategy in order to leave the advancing army without forage. There Nazi butts were way over extended by the time they got to Moscow where there was a fresh and enormous force of Russians waiting for them.

And it had been the Russians who were the Nazis greatest enemies all along. Hitler blamed the Reichstag fire on the communist party and then claimed dictatorial powers. We could see some part of our own communist phobia as being, in part at least, the fears of the Nazi spies and traitors in the background of things who would expect no quarter from communists.

Interesting article here by Fidel Castro, who I always felt was misunderstood in the States.

Particularly germane quote from the article:

"As part of the MKULTRA program, the CIA had given LSD and other psycho-active drugs to people without their knowledge. According to another document in the archive, Sydney Gottlieb, a psychiatrist and head of chemistry of the Agency Mind Control Program, is supposedly the person responsible for having made available the poison that was going to be used in the assassination attempt on Patrice Lumumba.

CIA employees assigned to MHCHAOS the operation that carried out surveillance on American opposition to the war in Vietnam and other political dissidents expressed "a high level of resentment" for having been ordered to carry out such missions."
